In partnership with the Aklan Provincial Health Office (PHO) under the subnational initiative of World Health Organization, CP Health Innovations has taken another monumental step in revolutionizing healthcare facility assessments through the Facility Readiness and Essential Services Availability Assessment (FRESAA) application. A series of strategic activities and milestones from mid-2023 to early 2024 paved the way for the successful implementation and integration of FRESAA in Aklan.
Key Milestones and Activities
July 10-11, 2023
Location: Royal Suites Condotel, Kalibo, Aklan
Completed Activities:
Finalization of the PCF (Primary Care Facility) tool for automated report generation in FRESAA.This foundational step set the stage for seamless and efficient reporting within the application.
November 13-14, 2023
Location: Virtual
Completed Activities:
Finalization of Aklan-specific FRESAA indicators. Tailored to the region’s unique healthcare needs, these indicators ensure that the app aligns with local health priorities.
February 7, 2024
Location: Virtual
Completed Activities:
Presentation of the completed Aklan FRESAA application. This event marked the culmination of development efforts, showcasing the app’s readiness for deployment.
February 12-14, 2024
Location: Royal Suites Condotel, Kalibo, Aklan
Completed Activities:
- Pilot testing in Madalag, Aklan.
- Staff training on the use of the FRESAA app.
- Completion of the data visualization builder form with Aklan PHO.
- Initial feedback session for app revision.These activities were critical for testing the app’s real-world functionality and gathering insights for refinement.
March 14-15, 2024

- Overview of the Aklan FRESAA application.
- Staff training on the use of the finalized FRESAA app.
- Demonstration of mock-assessments with assessors.
- FRESAA turnover session with Aklan PHO ICT and Provincial ICT teams, along with a guide on server hosting.
- Side session: Sharing FRESAA’s potential with the Davao CHD team. This comprehensive session ensured that all stakeholders were equipped to fully integrate FRESAA into their operations.
